TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY
I expand into my childhood and the struggles therein in My Story 'Triumph Over Adversity', I started with seizures in my later teen years and when I was diagnosed with epilepsy it came as both a relief and a shove out into the cold. I was going to join the military then police force and that had to stop and so career wise I became lost.
I struggled at school both with social interaction and completing assignments, and this was in stark contrast to my high intelligence and common sense, and this caused me great difficulties at work also. I carried this burden without diagnosis until I was 34, when I was diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder also and PTSD.
The PTSD alongside my other conditions, causes me difficulties and I am also at detriment owing to the in-direct and direct disability because of how society and organisations are arranged, and my goal is to be part of the changes for improved experiences and opportunities.
